Summary Of Show
~Derek Sanders is known for his original and fun dreams. He is the ultimate dreamer and when he purchases a dream catcher he sees his dreams are all changing and suddenly have purpose to them. He has a job to fix something in each destination he has dreamed himself away too. Along side him are his three dream friends of his named Scotch, Caption Obvious and Dream Queen. They are all out to solve the problems together. In each episode the characters seem to change physical appearance but their personalities and voices remain the same. They are something similar to Dora The Explorer's talking backpack. Once the problem is solved everyone transforms back into them selves and Derek usually wakes up.

Characters
Derek Sanders
~He's the kid everyone knows but doesn't talk to. Derek isn't very social at school and keeps to himself. Once you get to know him, you can find that his personality is outgoing and fun. You've just got to give him a chance to open up to you. In his original dreams, you could find him dreaming about the same topics like baseball, and girls. Especially a certain girl named Rachel, which he has had a crush on from when he started liking girls. He believes that buying that dream catcher was the best thing he has ever bought. It brought him to Scotch, Caption Obvious and Dream Queen.
Scotch
~Squared glasses, blue jeans and flippy blonde hair. Scotch is just a normal character. His brains are his only true power. His brain could match a computer because he knows just about anything on every subject. He is the smarter one of the bunch and the strongest. His muscles seem small but are opposite of that. He could lift any weight if he had to. Bronze and brains, something he doesn't like having. He hates that people expect that from him. But he doesn't show it, he likes to keep his thoughts to himself. In his left jean pocket you can find an endless supply of sour patch kids.
Caption Obvious
~His physical appearance is nothing special. But definitely something that you can't miss. His overall image is 'a wanna be super hero', his orange cape, blue spandex pants and polka dot gloves are his most prized possession. His freaky eye brow movements and outbursts are what makes him so memorable. He's out to help people and is doing anything but that. Caption Obvious tends to make situations worst then better. His every move can be guessed before he does it, which makes him Caption Obvious. He's the dumbest of the dumb. His body is very short and tiny with no tone or muscles at all.
Dream Queen
~With a crown, silk gown and wave technique mastered. Dream Queen is a true queen or so she thinks she is. With a name with queen in it, you would think she was royalty but she's not. Just a very bubbly, happy girl and a dream to some day be a queen in her own kingdom with knights in shiny armor, flowerbeds miles long and friendly forest creatures to greet her at her bedroom window. Her deep blue eyes and killer eyelashes are her key to looking so beautiful. With her wavy golden brown, she has to ability to whip it and make whatever she wants appear in front of her.

Setting
~The setting in each of the episodes is different in every episode. You can find that Derek dreams himself and his friends away to places like space, where the sky may appear dark from planet earth but when is space is very bright and almost like daylight. A farm, fills with smelly farm animals, mutty grounds and tons of chores to be done. Under the sea, with wide open water and millions of creatures you have to see to believe are real. A movie set, with various cameras, props galore and talented actors. You can find all four of them in a different setting each time.

Target Audience
~The target audience is for a younger generation. The show was designed to keep young kids into it and interested. It teaches them the difference between right and wrong. How that helping is good for you and is a good skill to have throughout life. The lovable and fun characters are great to watch and follow along with. Their witting personalities and different body give great originality to the show. The show is rated 'g' for everyone.

How To Beat The Competition
~In the tv world, cartoons aren't very popular. They aren't award winning shows but they can be winners in a child's eyes. The mood/style given off in the show is very happy and fun. At the ending of each show you can see yourself with a smile on your face. The tv show name may not be very appealing or original. But the show itself is- a boy with dreams, original enough. What gives it's originality is the characters. Their lovable personalities stay the same but their physical appearance changes for each episode. Giving it a new look on the character every episode. And the setting in each episode is different and interesting. Some shows are based all in one place or a few places. In Derek's dream world, it's different every time. A new destination, exciting place to see every time. One of the things you can also find with this show is that it's simple. Four dream best friends set out to solve the problems of others. It's a show that is easy to follow and doesn't go all over the place.
