Opening Image: Tyson starts his day just like every other. He waked up and pulls down his tmnt sheets to reveal his 90s tmnt pyjamas. He showers, combs his hair and eats his cheerios. Once 9'o clock hits, he is in front of the tv to watch the first tmnt episodes of the day and his tmnt faze begins. After many hours of watching tmnt on the official tmnt channel, Tyson is now off to his job at Apple Bee's. This job isn't a very rewarded career but it gets him by. His life is boring and uneventful. And today at his job he is confronted by his co-worker Nate, who tells him how he needs to get out more, how he isn't getting any younger and needs to move on from his twin brother's death last year.

Theme Stated: Tyson arrived home after a 7 hours shift and sits down in front of his tv, he doesn't turn it on. But just stares deeply into the dark screen. He begins really thinking about what Nate had said earlier. He needs to change, get out there more. Do something exciting. Tyson grins and turns on his tv, to find it is still on the tmnt channel. Just before turning the channel, he decides to watch the commercial that is on. 'Come on this five day adventure of a lifetime, going place to place doing challenges and activities all tmnt based. The winners then will get to meet the creators of tmnt, a trip to Orlando to the premier of the new tmnt movie and the whole discography of the tmnt saga. Contestants must own a car or have a driver, only groups of four or more can enter this contest. To enter into this challenge you must sign up online in the next 24 hours. You will be emailed more details when you enter. This is the first and only announcement for this. If you just happened to here for the viewing of this commercial, bravo. Sign up now if your man enough, to bring the turtle power'. Flipping off the tv, he grabs him laptop and signs onto the tmnt official website and signs up for the contest. This is just what he needs.

Set-Up: The next day he arrives at Nate's apartment very early in the morning to tell him about what he has signed up for. Nate isn't very impressed at what he has done but accepts it and decides he might as well go with him. That's what his best friend would wanted him to do. (Tyson's dead twin brother) Neither of them own a car, so they will have to find a ride to do this contest. After an hour of brainstorming ideas of where to get a car, they post an ad on the tmnt website looking for someone to join their group who has a car. Within twenty minutes, they have find someone. Or someones. Sir Tony and his sidekick Mac Attack. They all agree to meet at the local mall to discuss their game plan and go over the rules together. After meeting Tony and Mac, the father/son duo. They go into the mall's food court and sit down to read over the rules.
RULES OF THE TMNT CONTEST
  1. Each team should have a team name.
  2. Only true tmnt fans can enter into this challenge. If you don't truly love tmnt, just stop reading now.
    3. Only one member from your team can compete in each event.
    4. Any team suspicious of cheating the game or not playing fair in any way will be eliminated.
    5. There is no way of getting out of this once you have entered. And losing on purpose is lame.
    6. HAVE FUN !!

Catalyst: After an afternoon of getting to know each other. They all split. Tony and Mac check into a local hotel for the night. While Nate drags Tyson to a house party to celebrate him getting out again. Tyson's brother Tyler had died at a house party. A party that Tyson had refused going to because of a tmnt special premier. That leaves Tyson wondering if he could of saved his brother that night, if only he had gone with him. He could of kept an eye on him and his drinking. And called an ambulance earlier to save him dying from alcohol poisoning. Nate and Tyson go into the house. Within minutes Nate ditches Tyson. Leaving him alone to stand against a wall and watch as everyone else has a good time. Tyson spots a familiar face dancing on the dance floor and she is really good at dancing. He has seen her before or known her somehow. He just can't seem to figure out who she is and it bothers him for the rest of the night as he stands alone watching her.

Debate: Today is the day, that Tyson, Mac, Nate and Tony all go to the tmnt contest as the TMNT TEAM. The first letters of their names just happened to spell out 'TMNT'. All four of them arrive early to get a look at the competition. Many kids appear to be there, but they don't fear them. Just know that they have a good chance at kicking ass in this contest. As a giant white screen comes down from the ceiling and Kevin Eastman is shown on the screen. He tells the crowd a bit about himself and how he looks forward to meeting the winners in Orlando. Tyson is distracted as everyone watches the screen. He is starting to regret signing up for this. He doesn't want to go through with this anymore. Tyson storms out of the place.

Break Into Two: The next day Tyson refuses to come out of his apartment when Nate, Tony and Mac come to get him. Nate tries talking to him, Tony tries talking to him and finally Mac tries talking to him. Tyson gives in when Mac talks to him because he doesn't want to disappoint an eleven year old. They arrive back at the contest to start the competition. A dance competition and no one in there group can dance..well. They will have to create a dance to go with the tmnt theme song and they only have an hour to do it. Tony volunteer to do this event for the team, not guaranteeing they will win.

B Story: Tyson and Nate sit at the side as Tony pathetically tries to create a dance. Tyson sees the same girl from the party approaching them. Nate nudges him as she stands in front of the two of them. Nate stands up and greets her, hugging her. Tyson stands there clueless. She offers them help in the dance competition and says how she was kicked out of her team. They let her do the dancing instead of Tony.

Fun And Games: Moments later it finally hits Tyson. He knows who the girl is. It's Amanda, one of the snobbiest people he has ever met. One of the many people who made his high school years living hell. And he wonders why she is with them. Why she was even at this contest. The dance contest begins when the hour of coming up with a dance ends. Many of the groups suck but when Amanda dances to it, it's one of the best ones. They win and the group feels very confident and invites Amanda to join there group. She agrees. The next day they all drive to the next destination in the next state. And what they have to do is race. On a near by open field there is a track set up in a turtle shaped formation. One of the members must carry the shell shaped weight with a bandana over there eyes as fast as they can. Nate volunteers to do this event. He is strong and feels he probably can't contribute to any other event. There is no preparation and they start right away. Nate puts on the red bandana and straps on the 80 pound weight to his back and stumbles around the track, moving as slow as a turtle. In the end, Nate and a guy by the name of Scott tie. They play rock, paper, scissors to choose who wins. Nate wins, only by chance. Scott isn't impressed and gives Nate a threatening glare towards him.

Midpoint: After the TMNT Team celebrates there victory they go back out to their car and find Scott and his friends standing there. They start insulting Nate. Tyson steps in and they began picking on him instead. There insults start being towards him and then they bring up Tyler and start dissing him.
-Tyson punches Scott and walks away.

Bad Guys Close In:
-the next day, the TMNT Team loses to Scott's team in the trivia event.
-everyone appears to be upset, they all find out that Amanda is Scott girlfriend and was trying to make them lose and lower their esteem and ability to win.
-Amanda never went through with it, but the TMNT Team feels betrayed even though she didn't do anything wrong.

All Is Lost:
-Tyson locks himself in his apartment, regretting ever starting this.
-the rest of his team goes to the event anyways.
-they lose to Scott's team once in a event involving video games.

Dark Night Of The Soul:
-both Tyson and Scott's teams are tied for the last competition.
-they will be the only two teams competing in a scavenger hunt for the four bandana of the tmnt clan.
-Tyson feels the need to really win this not only for himself but for his brother and team and invites Amanda back into their group as well.

Break Into Three:
-Tyson's team gives it there all.
-TMNT Team wins, Tyson doesn't feel happy about it though.
-he has known Scott growing up, he knows that he deserves it more then he does and that it isn't his Scott's fault he treats everyone bad.

Finale:
-Tyson gives him his part of the winnings, including the plane ticket to the new tmnt movie premier.
-Scott accepts and makes truce with Tyson.

Final Image:
-Tyson visits his brother at the cemetery telling him about the few days that have happened and how there are going to be more of them to come.
-Tyson lays down Tyler's blue bandana on the headstone.

Cast List and Character Descriptions
Tyson- Michael Cera
Why he should play this part- Michael Cera is good at play characters that have low self esteem and have to somehow learn to be confident. He is also good at playing 'the awkward' type with girls, he doesn't know what to do or say to them. And again, learns from that how to be himself around girls.
Tyson's everyday is the same. His lifestyle is pretty low key. He stopped interacting with people ever since his brother died. He blames himself for part of his death because he chose to stay home an d watch a tmnt premiere then go to a party where his brother died from alcohol poisoning. He works at Apple Bee's and they only person he ever talks to is his brother's best friend and co-worker, Nate. His mother and father both died shortly after the boys were adopted and went in and out of foster homes their whole lives. Tyson had a dream to someday come up with the next best cartoon and envies the teenage mutant ninja turtles. That dream died shortly after his brother. He is now opposite of what he use to be. His biggest problem is he is still grieving over his twin brother's death and can't seem to move on.

Mac- Conner Rayburn
Why he should play this part- Conner Rayburn has been in the acting business for most of his life. Starring on According to Jim from the start of his short life so far. He would be good for this part because he has similar features to Zach. The round face and lively attitude.
Conner is like any typical 11 year old. He is in the fifth grade. He isn't fond of school but what kid really is. He is along for the ride with his dad, Tony. He finds little interest in TMNT but if pretending to like it pleases his dad, he'll do it. He would rather be reading or playing video games. He has a high interest in gaming and the way graphics look. He lives with his father. But hasn't for most of his life. His mother had given up custody last year and now gets to grow up with his father as a role model. His biggest problem is that he isn't liked that much in school and no one out of school knows about it.

Nate- Shia Labeouf
Why he should play this part- Shia Labeouf is very attractive. The person playing this character needs to have great self confidence, be full of himself, think he is better then everyone. Shia is perfect for this role.
Nate is what every girl wants. The looks, strong arms to hold them, sweet voice to be there for him. But Nate is single and doesn't really know why or how to find the perfect girl for him. He works at Apple Bee's along with Tyson. His best friend was Tyson's twin brother, Tyler. He got over his death quickly and moves on with his life. Not that he wants to get over it that fast but that's just the way he is. He rarely feels sad or grieves over anything. Shortly after his 18th birthday he moves out and got his own place. His parents gave him everything he ever wanted when he was younger but when he just moved without notice they did the same, shortly after moving out his parents moved away and told didn't tell him where they went. His biggest problem is that he knows many people but can't seem friends that he can truly count on all the time.

Tony- Zach Galifianakis
Why he should play this part- Zach Galifianakis masters playing characters that are 'dumb' or a child at heart. In this movie, this character needs to be like that. He has to get along with everyone and roll with the flow.
Tony is starting into his forties and has a son by the name of Mac. He got custody when she finally decided to let Tony see him and keep him. Tony gets by on the fortune his step father left for him when he pasted away. He has loved tmnt for most of his life. It was very popular when he was younger and he has never stopped loving it. His biggest problem is woman, he has only loved and been with one woman, Mac's mother.

Amanda- Emma Roberts
Scott- Alex Frost

Target Audience
This movie could be for pretty much anyone. From young kids to older people. TMNT has been around for decades and who doesn't love them. They are mutant turtles that wear bandanas and fight with ninja ambition, all while being a teenager. That's pro. People who do not like them are likely to hate this movie and give it a thumbs down. This movie doesn't have a certain genre.

Longer Answer Questions
1. Describe the three parts in a converted pyramid. -6 marks
The lead is the start of the news story and sums up the basic facts of the story: the who, what, where, when and why. The body of the story supports the lead and gives all the details needed for the article. The ending sums up the article and state whatever hasn't been said yet.

Weisel words are used but don't mean anything or something completely opposite to it.

DEREK THE DREAMER
Logline
“A 12 year old boy with a huge imagination and ability to dream up just about anything, takes you into his dreams for a thrilling and exciting adventure each time.”

Summary Of Show
~Derek Sanders is known for his original and fun dreams. He is the ultimate dreamer and when he purchases a dream catcher he sees his dreams are all changing and suddenly have purpose to them. He has a job to fix something in each destination he has dreamed himself away too. Along side him are his three dream friends of his named Scotch, Caption Obvious and Dream Queen. They are all out to solve the problems together. In each episode the characters seem to change physical appearance but their personalities and voices remain the same. They are something similar to Dora The Explorer's talking backpack. Once the problem is solved everyone transforms back into them selves and Derek usually wakes up.

Characters
Derek Sanders
~He's the kid everyone knows but doesn't talk to. Derek isn't very social at school and keeps to himself. Once you get to know him, you can find that his personality is outgoing and fun. You've just got to give him a chance to open up to you. In his original dreams, you could find him dreaming about the same topics like baseball, and girls. Especially a certain girl named Rachel, which he has had a crush on from when he started liking girls. He believes that buying that dream catcher was the best thing he has ever bought. It brought him to Scotch, Caption Obvious and Dream Queen.
Scotch
~Squared glasses, blue jeans and flippy blonde hair. Scotch is just a normal character. His brains are his only true power. His brain could match a computer because he knows just about anything on every subject. He is the smarter one of the bunch and the strongest. His muscles seem small but are opposite of that. He could lift any weight if he had to. Bronze and brains, something he doesn't like having. He hates that people expect that from him. But he doesn't show it, he likes to keep his thoughts to himself. In his left jean pocket you can find an endless supply of sour patch kids.
Caption Obvious
~His physical appearance is nothing special. But definitely something that you can't miss. His overall image is 'a wanna be super hero', his orange cape, blue spandex pants and polka dot gloves are his most prized possession. His freaky eye brow movements and outbursts are what makes him so memorable. He's out to help people and is doing anything but that. Caption Obvious tends to make situations worst then better. His every move can be guessed before he does it, which makes him Caption Obvious. He's the dumbest of the dumb. His body is very short and tiny with no tone or muscles at all.
Dream Queen
~With a crown, silk gown and wave technique mastered. Dream Queen is a true queen or so she thinks she is. With a name with queen in it, you would think she was royalty but she's not. Just a very bubbly, happy girl and a dream to some day be a queen in her own kingdom with knights in shiny armor, flowerbeds miles long and friendly forest creatures to greet her at her bedroom window. Her deep blue eyes and killer eyelashes are her key to looking so beautiful. With her wavy golden brown, she has to ability to whip it and make whatever she wants appear in front of her.

Setting
~The setting in each of the episodes is different in every episode. You can find that Derek dreams himself and his friends away to places like space, where the sky may appear dark from planet earth but when is space is very bright and almost like daylight. A farm, fills with smelly farm animals, mutty grounds and tons of chores to be done. Under the sea, with wide open water and millions of creatures you have to see to believe are real. A movie set, with various cameras, props galore and talented actors. You can find all four of them in a different setting each time.

Target Audience
~The target audience is for a younger generation. The show was designed to keep young kids into it and interested. It teaches them the difference between right and wrong. How that helping is good for you and is a good skill to have throughout life. The lovable and fun characters are great to watch and follow along with. Their witting personalities and different body give great originality to the show. The show is rated 'g' for everyone.

How To Beat The Competition
~In the tv world, cartoons aren't very popular. They aren't award winning shows but they can be winners in a child's eyes. The mood/style given off in the show is very happy and fun. At the ending of each show you can see yourself with a smile on your face. The tv show name may not be very appealing or original. But the show itself is- a boy with dreams, original enough. What gives it's originality is the characters. Their lovable personalities stay the same but their physical appearance changes for each episode. Giving it a new look on the character every episode. And the setting in each episode is different and interesting. Some shows are based all in one place or a few places. In Derek's dream world, it's different every time. A new destination, exciting place to see every time. One of the things you can also find with this show is that it's simple. Four dream best friends set out to solve the problems of others. It's a show that is easy to follow and doesn't go all over the place.

A musician that is considered pop is Justin Bieber. He has a nice calm voice, he appeals to both young and older girls because of his looks. He is very marketable and popular in the world today.

*note: I dislike Justin Bieber.

1.List three shows that you like:
Dexter, Two & A Half Men and Full House.

2.Explain one reason each why you like each show:
I like Dexter for it's originality, the gory scenes. It leaves you at the end of each episode wanting to see more.
Two & A Half Men does a great job at keeping the audience into the show and interested. It has great humor and you can never get enough of these guys.
This is the show I watched while growing up, I loved it then and I'll love it forever. It relates to every day problems every family seems to have and I found that it's really appealing to me.

3.List three shows you do not like:
Jersey Shore, Hellcats and One Tree Hill

4.Explain one reason each why you not like or watch each show:
Jersey Shore is the most annoying show I have ever seen. It's a pointless show and makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
It's yet another show about snobby, skinny cheerleaders.
Drama drama drama, this is another show that is focused on people's drama. Oh boohoo, no one cares.

5.Estimate how much you watch TV in a regular weekday and then a weekend day:
weekday- 3-4 hours weekend day- 6+ hours

6.Quickly do the same for your parents (1 each)
 1- Law & Order
 2- it's suspenseful
 3- The Simpsons
 4- it's boring, immature
 5- 3-4 hours a day, 5+ on weekends

7. Why do you like the shows you chose? Be very specific and try to think about what attracts you to the shows you like.
Originality is important. I don't wanna watch something that copies or is similar to another show. I like suspense and shows that relate to real life. Funny and horrific acts are something I look for in a show. If they got any of that then you'll have me hooked as the audience.
