Nap Class Now Mandatory in Order to Graduate
All students across Ontario are going to be getting a major wake up call, speaking metaphorically. This week the head Ontario school board with be approving the idea of a nap class for all high school students who just can't seem to keep their eyes open in class anymore.

Recently studies at a local school (Goderich District Collegiate Institute) have shown that 1 in 10 students come to school well rested and ready to learn. These numbers are starting to worry many parents and staff. This nap class will give students the opportunity to get that extra sleep time that they can't get while at home. When going into this class you will be offered fruit at the beginning and when the buzzer sounds you are required to sleep for a solid two hours. Couches, cots and mats will be provided for those who would like them. Another thing about this class that many won't believe is that it is mandatory to take for two years in your high school career. Those who refuse to participate in this will not be allowed to graduate.

When asking parents what they thought of the idea. This is the feed back we got: "I think this idea is great, my son works from six till eleven . This will give my child that sleep he truly needs to get by in class everyday", says a local parent. "My daughter is involved in many events and sports out of school, she is sometimes up till two in the morning doing homework. She can finally sleep those couple hours and be rested and ready for the day", says another.

This nap class begins September 22, 2010 for all students wishing to participate in the first semester.
